Craig McKay is a graduate of West Virginia University. He received both his undergraduate and Law degree from WVU.
His career as a trial lawyer began at Rose Schmidt & Dixon where he worked in the arenas of Environmental Law, Commercial and Civil litigation among other things.
In 1973 Craig became an Assistant United States Attorney, a position he held for 17 years.
Attorney McKay continued working as a trial lawyer with some law firms in Pittsburgh and also as a sole practitioner until 2008 when he joined the District Attorney's office in Washington County.
He left the District Attorney's office for five years to fill a position on the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole in an executive position setting policy for the agency and conducting interviews for parole consideration.
He returned to the Washington County District Attorney's Office in 2016.
