Campaign Finance Reporting

Pursuant to statute, violations of campaign finance reporting and filing requirements can be fined and/or prosecuted, with penalties of up to a year in prison and/or $5,000. Candidates are advised to pay particular attention to the information contained in this section.  If there are any questions contact the Elections Office or the PA Department of State.

2023 Campaign Finance Reporting Dates
2022 Annual Report Complete as of December 31, 2022 Filing Deadline January 31, 2023**

*6th Tuesday Pre-Primary Complete as of March 27, 2023 Filing Deadline April 4, 2023**

2nd Friday Pre-Primary  Complete as of May 1, 2023 Filing Deadline May 5, 2023**

30 Day Post-Primary Complete as of June 5, 2023 Filing Deadline June 15, 2023**

*6th Tuesday Pre-Election Complete as of September 18, 2023 Filing Deadline September 26, 2023**

2nd Friday Pre-Election Complete as of October 23, 2023 Filing Deadline October 27, 2023**

30 Day Post-Election Complete as of November 27, 2023 Filing Deadline December 7, 2023**

2023 Annual Report Complete as of December 31, 2023 Filing Deadline January 31, 2024**

* These reports are only required if you are a candidate for statewide office, an authorized committee for a statewide candidate, or a committee contributing to a candidate for a statewide office.

** If you are sending your report via USPS, UPS, or FedEx your report must be postmarked at least one day prior to the filing deadline.

Fines for Late Filing:  $20 per day for the first six days report is late, $10 per day after that until the maximum fine of $250 is reached.
