Poll Worker Information
Poll workers are the front line workers on Election Day, and one of the most important components of the election process. The Washington County Board of Elections relies on hundreds of well-trained, civic minded citizens to serve as poll workers for each election. In order to qualify as a poll worker you must:
- Be a registered voter in Washington County
- Be at least 17 years of age prior to Election Day
- Be able to attend a training session prior to each election
- Be able to work all Election Day (polls open at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm)
- Be courteous, polite, and remain non-partisan throughout the day regardless of opinions expressed by voters
