2010 Electronic Recycling Collection Dates!!
Washington County has just set dates for the annual electronics recycling collections. This year, we are planningon holding two collections to help accomodate other regions in the county. We are planning on using these collections as pilots for more collections in the future.
We are holding our first collection in the Mon Valley July 10 from 10 to 2. The event will be held at the new Market House site in Charleroi Borough. This site is a new community-gathering place that will host future events in the municipality and the region. Our collection will be one of the first events held at the finished site.
The second collection will once again be held at the County Fairgrounds on August 29 from 10 to 2. We are hoping that we will bring in similar numbers of participants from our first collections. This collection will also act as a follow up to the first collection, so if you miss the first one, make sure to come to the second one!
Any questions or comments, including directions, please call 724-228-6811, or e-mail theakstj@co.washington.pa.us.

Changes to Subdivision and Land Development Review Policy
Minor changes have been made to our Subdivision and Land Development Review Policy. These changes will go into effect January 1, 2008. These changes deal mostly with the fee schedule, which has been updated to reflect similar fees charged for these services in surrounding counties. An updated fee schedule and review policy will be posted in the near future. If there are any questions pertaining to this change, feel free to call the Planning Commission. Thank you.
