2017 Monthly Electronics Recycling Information
Washington County is pleased to announce the 2017 Monthly Electronics Collection Schedule.  All collections will be held from 2:30 to 5:00 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  Please see the below flyer for dates and more information.

                                    2017 Monthly Electronics Collection Flyer

Washington County will also be implementing a Severe Weather Protocol for all 2017 monthly events, where the monthly event will be cancelled in the case of extreme weather (i.e. thunderstorms and snowstorms) or if the temperature is at or below 25 to 30 degrees.  In the case of a cancellation, there will be no reschedule date for the cancelled event; the next month collection will be the next date.  This is to ensure volunteer and worker safety at the event.

We will post all cancellation information on the Washington County Planning Commission website (www.co.washington.pa.us/planning) on the day of the event, or you can call the newly created Monthly Collection Event Hotline (724-250-4839) after 9:30 on the day of the event for information on that day's event.  We ask that every participant check either the County website or the Hotline on the day of the event for program verification.  Thank you.

Monthly Electronics Recycling Information
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the November 1st Electronics Collection at the Washington County Fairgrounds is CANCELLED.  The next collection will be December 13th.  If you have any questions, please call the Planning Commission Office.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Effective immediately, Washington County’s Monthly Recycling Collection will start at 2:30 PM.  This revised start time is to ensure that the collection setup will be ready to accept participants at the start time.  The collection shares the space provided with the Washington County Food Bank, and we cannot start setting up the collection event until the Food Bank is cleaned up from its operations.  Also, please be aware there will be traffic pattern changes on site.  The next collection event will be held Tuesday, April 5.  Thank you!

Due to the enthusiastic turnout for the January Collection, and other activities at the Fairgrounds on the day of the collection, Washington County will not be servicing cars for the Monthly Electronics Recycling Collection Event until 2:30 p.m. sharp. Chartiers Police will also be patrolling the area during the event.   Here are estimated wait times by hour for the collection event (based on the first collection):

                                                        ESTIMATED WAIT TIME
                                                        2:30 p.m. – 40 minute wait
                                                        3:15 p.m. – 10 - 15 minute wait
                                                        4:00 p.m. –  5-10 minute wait

IMPORTANT ENTRANCE INFORMATION:  If the line of vehicles is stretched onto Main Street, we are asking participants to not enter, and instead come back after 15 minutes for safety reasons. Please see the updated traffic stacking map for traffic patterns and important information.
