California University of PA and surrounding communities would benefit from an indoor facility that would include a Field, Track, Batting cages, portable mounds and weight room.
Benefits
1. Community: offering school districts approx. 20 a place for youth, adult activities. Economic influx from tournament (youth soccer, baseball clinics, softball clinics etc. Retain and increase business opportunities such as new resturants, hotels. Job creation.
2.University benefits: increase in enrollment, retaining areas best students and student athletes. Tax revenue generation: With California U of PA being so close to Westmoreland co.and Fayette Co. (school districts such as Bell-Vernon, Thomas Jefferson, Uniontown, Connelsville) all would send youth sports to the facility generating money for the University and county. With enrollment increasing will also bring more tax dollars and economic prosperity to this part of Washington County.
See the new facility in Wheeling WV. highlands.

I think that the online payments for your taxes should FREE. Every other business and utility in the U.S. is pushing for customers to pay online and I don't believe do that because it lowers the businesses' profit margin. It obviously saves them money. I can understand that visa charges a fee but to put a "convenience " fee on tax payments made with online checking is just another way of adding to the tax! I thought the idea is to try to make it easier for people to pay their taxes on time thereby making it easier for the county to work within their budget

We need a community here around the Monongahela area to sponsor a recycling event. There are a lot of people who have tires, TVs, computer monitors, paint etc. that would benefit from a recycling event closer to us than the Washington County Fairgrounds or Pittsburgh. This would help clean up the neighborhoods and make the area something to be even prouder of. A boy scout group or other civil service minded group could be asked to help with the event.

At one time Monongahela would have under 21 dances at the firehall once or twice a month on Fridays or Saturdays. This was a great way to keep teens out of trouble, You had to be a certain age to attend and if you left building prior to dance being over you couldn't get back in. You could charge a cover charge and sell hot dogs chips pop etc. This could be a fundraiser for the fire dept and a safe haven for kids to hang out in.

We always have several people trying to get out of their houses and/or apartment just for a few hours but we cannot go out where want to if we are having difficulty to get to the transportation where it is. No security is here for us now. The Mid - Mon Valley Transit Authority based out of Charleroi, Pa is the one who stopped the service for the senior citizens here in California, Pa. at the Liberty Towers and they are a handicapped vehicle for the residents to enter/exit easily. We have had no service here since April 12, 2018 whenever they ceased it totally from coming in front of our building. The winter months I asked for the drivers to use discretion. The other months they may use it to service the Liberty Towers on 520 Liberty Street. The borough council is in favor of having it there they want it there for the senior citizens here.

Freedom Transit, when picking up someone who has a Medical appt. should have driver call before "assuming" person is a no show, especially for a Dr. appt.

I live in a senior citizen high rise and the transportation that was coming to our building stopped coming down to our building where the citizens could stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer but the bus stop was moved to a further distance and now we have no shelter where it is now. I would like to see it re-established to where it was previously because it provided shelter to the residents here. No shelter is there now, it has been in the News Media and still no action has been taken on this matter at hand. Is there anyone who has an idea or resolution to this matter that would benefit the senior citizens here ? We are an 105 apartment high rise and many are not able to get to the current stop due to the medical conditions that they currently have.

Give people what they need to grow and take care of themselves and not let them wander the streets like I was allowed to do at a young age and later after trying to save my home for my babies and keep them safe and wanted my sisters and parents and the Community to stop labeling me when I wanted to use my brain to stay home and take care of my two babies and protect them from workaholics and alchoholics and aggresstion and competittion and keep them safe so they could play in their neighborhood and grow to reach their potential, not the world's idea of what is success is and give them what they need, not want to grow, so they can give back the natural way with their gifts instead of using their gift of power of you to do it their way. You can't have energy and motivation if they shame you for not having it or do the right thing when they are not doing it themselves and just because you pay the bills like you are supposed to for your family does not give you the right to control them.

Where is the revenue from the recycling going? Monongahela's was originally going to improve the parks; but yet they were looking for money to improve The Mounds. This money should help improve the towns and the towns should list what the money is used for. More people would probably recycle newspapers if they knew where the money generated was going.

I travel through this intersection daily, at least 2-3 times. It is extremely frustrating that the drivers on N Main turning left or right will not allow other drivers coming from Humbert Lane or Colonial-Heights Blvd to turn. There needs to be a better way for this intersection to function and making a 4-way stop would be extremely beneficial because of the odd projection of the roads.

am writing this email to see if you can see how screwed up the jail system is. My girlfriend (Chande Sickman) is immune compromised and has almost died twice the past 2 nights due to a blood sugar level of 29. The jail told her they will take her to the hospital but when she goes back she will be in a special housing area where she will be with potentially sick people with COVID19. She has an extensive medical history and conditions. If she goes to hospital and comes back to the jail where she will be housed all ventilation systems are shared. The situation is so bad in there that a nurse actually told her to take her own blood because they could not get a sample. How is that even right??? Please let me know what your thoughts are on this and what actions you or I or both of us could do about this matter?
