Who is eligible for CCIS?

General eligibility requirements for CCIS subsidy:

  • All applicants must reside in a county of Pennsylvania, and must apply for services in their county of residence..
  • All applicants must have a child or children who are citizens of the United States or are lawfully admitted to the United States needing child care while the parent/caretaker(s) work or attend an education program.
  • All Parent/Caretakers must meet one of the following criteria:
    • Be working a minimum of 20 hours a week.  Training hours can be used to meet half of this requirement.
    • Having a promise of a job that will start within 30 days of CCW application.
    • Attending an education program (Teen Parents Only)
  • All applicants must be able to provide proof of identification for each parent or caretaker in the home.
  • Children in need of care must be less than 13 years old, unless affected by a disability. Children with disabilities may be eligible through age 18.
  • All applicants must meet the CCIS Income Guidelines listed below.

The annual income for a family to be eligible to receive subsidy is 200% or less of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.
